Bathroom Décor

There are tons of bathroom accessories out there today so that your bathroom can feel like your own personal retreat while also having some fun with the decorating. Some common accessories are fragrances like extracts and essential oils, towel holders, shower curtains, bathroom mirrors, bathroom cabinets, plush rugs, shampoo holders, soap dishes, and toothbrush and tooth paste holders. You do however want to make sure that you do not have so many accessories that your bathroom begins to look crowded or cluttered. You want to make sure that which ever accessories you choose they are right for you, and add a sense of warmth and coziness to your bathroom while also being functional.

Modern bathrooms now have a separate bath tub, shower, and above counter sink. Some larger bathrooms also have furniture like sitting chairs, towel racks, bathroom cabinets with mirrors, and medicine chests. Many people like to color coordinate their bathroom accessories, towels, walls, and showers/bath tubs. You can either buy your accessories already grouped together in a specific theme or you can create your own personal style. Bright, youthful looking colors like oranges, pinks, light greens and blues, and yellows are common choices for color coordinating your bathroom. A more contemporary bathroom may have furniture like space saver cabinets and shelves, and organizers with storage baskets. Wicker bathroom furniture adds a light and airy look to your bathroom for a more contemporary look. If you decide to put some sort of furniture in your bathroom you need to make sure that the over all theme you have chosen is still uniform, and that your bathroom does not come off as cluttered or crowded.

When you are deciding on what kind of storage to add to your bathroom you need to empty and remove everything from your current counters, shelves, and cabinets and only keep what you really need. All the items that are unnecessary should be either thrown away or stored elsewhere in your home. All the items that are necessary need to be grouped together based on their utility and essential items should always be stored visibly and within reach. Modern bathrooms are replacing plastic shelving with wood or rubber wire systems, and adding fluorescent lighting for a more creative illumination idea. You can also try adding a corner hanging storage system if you do not have enough floor space for a cabinet.
